Founded in the 1930s and famed for its hot springs (onsen), Akakura is one of the oldest established ski areas in the world. Our lodge, Juniya Myoko, is located in the heart of Akakura Village's vibrant restaurant and bar precinct and metres from some of Japan's best snow.
With a view down to the Sea of Japan, the area receives 13-16 metres of fresh POW every season! If you like powder, varied and uncrowded runs, and enjoy easy access to great food, then this is exactly the place for you.

Staying at Juniya Myoko gives you the best of both worlds. At your doorstep are some of Japan's best, uncrowded runs, and the lodge itself is located within easy walking distance of the main lift area at Akakura Onsen ski fields as well as the vibrant Akakura Village restaurant and bar precinct.
Included in your room rate is a continental style breakfast with a hot option that changes daily, free Wi-Fi and we have two on-site onsen. All-day tea and coffee making facilities are available, as well as a well-stocked bar and a relaxing guest lounge area.
Complimentary pick-ups and delivery from the Myokokogen train station are available, as well as a paid concierge service to other resorts. These services must be booked with reception.
